Winwick Park is a large redevelopment of the former Winwick Hospital in a greenbelt location. PWL Architecture were responsible for the overall masterplanning of the site for 300 houses and the detailed design of the Countryside Properties development.
The layout was divided into two distinct types. ‘Formal’, with tall Regency style houses with a boulevard style layout and ‘Village’ consisting of cottage style housing in a Cheshire style. The layout is innovative with closer interface distances across roads and parking largely out of sight to avoid a car dominated environment.
